Daihatsu Indonesia "Recall" Old Feroza, Why?

Yesterday, 14 April 2011, PT Astra Daihatsu Motor announced a recall of old products, Feroza production 1993-1998, totaling 51,993 units. Suspected there was a leak which caused cracks in the fuel tank valve breathing.

According to PT Astra Daihatsu Motor (ADM), recall the instructions coming from the principal Daihatsu Motor Company (DMC) in Japan, prevailing in the whole world, after no cars on fire because of gasoline vapor that leaks into the cabin space.


"To this day, in Indonesia there are no cases related to this issue. However, it's time to give examples Daihatsu responsibility to consumers so that consumers feel safe and comfortable in driving," said Amelia Tjandra, Director of ADM in Red Square, Plaza Senayan Complex , South Jakarta, today.

Amelia continued, when the total recall of the famous vehicle entrance of 50 percent, then the ADM has set aside Rp 8 billion for repairs and replacement components. If averaged, then any improvement per unit will cost about IDR 307,000 for parts and labor costs.

"Had long been producing Daihatsu Feroza and still leaves 5 percent of consumers who come to the authorized repair shop. They will be contacted directly. The rest, we hope all Feroza consumers who read the news in the media can directly contact the Daihatsu," please Amelia.

For repair services, Daihatsu deploy all network consisting of 100 locations throughout Indonesia. Process of the workshop is expected to take 1 hour. Starting today, over 1 year, official Feroza recall rolling.
