Bridgestone Man to Advise MotoGP Promoter

Dorna Sports, the commercial rights holder of the MotoGP series, has today confirmed the addition of former Bridgestone motorsport boss Hiroshi Yasukawa as new advisor of CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta.

Yasukawa, who is known by all motor racing fans thanks to his former role with the Japanese tire manufacturer – having been the boss of Bridgestone's racing operations since 1997 until 2011 – will have the main role of “further developing the sport”, although what that means exactly has not been elaborated upon by Dorna.
