Five Toyota Factory in Europe Reducing Their Production

Toyota Motor Corp. forced to cut production at five factories in Europe from late April to early May was due to shortage of supply of components from Japan. The fifth plant in Burnaston, UK which manufactures Avensis and Auris, Adapazari (Turkey) assemble and Auris Verso; Valenciennes (France) makes the Yaris and Jelcz-Laskowice, (Poland) and Deeside (Wales).



Toyota Europe as reported by autonews said the reduced number of working days also take advantage of school holidays making it easier for employees to regulate the rhythm of work. Until now schedule a predetermined lockout is 21, 22, 25 to 29 April and 2 May.

"Despite difficult conditions and most of our components are supplied from Europe, we continue to experience disruption in the production chain because the conditions in Japan. By controlling the rhythm of work in Europe we hope not too disturbing the supply of new cars to consumers," beber Didier Leroy, Chief Executive Officer Toyota Motor Europe.

After May 2011, Toyota's claim still could not say. Uncertain conditions in Japan make the next two-three months can not be predicted.
